AdventureSmart and SARVAC (Canada’s national Volunteer SAR Agency) have released the AdventureSmart Trip Planning App.
Available on Google Play, Apple App Store and via the web, the app offers the ability to create a structured trip plan with prompts for best practises, and gives an opportunity to send that plan to a responsible friend. Trip planning is an important part of backcountry adventure, and can help bring you home safe if SAR is required.
