Search & Rescue Volunteer Memorial
Memorialising lives of significant service to the cause of Search and Rescue
The Search and Rescue Memorial was established for those Search and Rescue (SAR) volunteers in British Columbia who have lost their lives in the line of duty and to honour all that serve.
The British Columbia Search and Rescue Association (BCSARA), Provincial Emergency Program Air (PEP AIR), and Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue (RCMSAR) honour their volunteer members through a memorial on the grounds of the B.C. Parliament Buildings. The three organizations have worked together through the Search and Rescue Volunteer Memorial Committee to recognize and remember those search and rescue volunteers in British Columbia who have lost their lives in the line of duty and to honour all that serve.
